j9λ. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / President & CEO: Shigetomo Sakamoto) has officially received an order for DC12000GS (2) ultra-large die casting machines capable of gigacasting with a clamping capacity of 12,000 tons from the Vietnam plant, which is a group company of SEOJIN SYSTEM CO., LTD. (CEO: Jun, Dong kyu) in Korea.

◆Background and aim of development
In recent years, due to the progress of electrification and weight reduction, the demand for large-scale one-piece casting(gigacasting) for automobile lighten body structural parts in aluminum are rapidly increasing. This "gigacast" technology significantly enhances the environmental performance and production efficiency of automobiles by reducing the number of parts and manufacturing processes, while decreasing weight, and improving strength through the integration of multiple components. We aim to meet the needs of next-generation mobility by leveraging our extensive experience in die casting machine development and our technological expertise to offer a lineup of ultra-large die casting machine that support gigacasting.

◆Features of the new product
Industry's Largest Clamping Force
An ultra-large clamping device with a clamping force of 12,000 tons enables the integral molding of larger aluminum parts. It allows the structural components of a car body to be manufactured in a single process, greatly increasing production efficiency. In the future, we will continue to develop multiple models with clamping forces of 6,000 to 9,000 tons.

High-precision and high-reliability injection control technology
Our unique two-cylinder system, injection mechanism, and control using high-response servo valves enable short-time filling and quick pressurization, resulting in improved yield and higher quality. In addition, the system is equipped with the latest control system TOSCAST-999 designed to enhance visibility maintain stability and improve ease of use.

◆Future prospects
The two DC12000GS machines will bring innovation to the production process of next-generation mobility. By combining our ultra-large die casting machines with our customers' high-precision molds, we will create innovative products and provide new value and creation to the mobility society.
The product group to be produced is not limited to large battery cases, but also includes body components, opening a new chapter in a market where global demand is expected to grow in the future.
We will co-create innovation and strongly support advancements in next-generation mobility field, such as BEVs and hybrid vehicles, which require further enlargement and efficiency, through molding using ultra-large die casting machines such as 12,000-ton machines.

In addition, as demand for large-scale integrated parts and composite castings continues to increase-especially in the automotive industry- we will further strengthen our technological development and service systems to meet the diverse needs of our customers, and promote manufacturing both in Japan and overseas.
